Dien Chau district has released shrimp into 140 hectares for the first crop.
(Baonghean.vn) - With favorable weather conditions, shrimp farm owners in Dien Chau district are currently stocking 150 million whiteleg shrimp juveniles.
After cleaning the ponds, draining the water, drying the bottoms, ensuring sufficient settling pond area and water source, and spraying disinfectant in the water channels… more than 200 shrimp farming households in Dien Trung, Dien Thinh, Dien Van, and Dien Kim communes (Dien Chau district) are proceeding with stocking 140 hectares of shrimp for the first crop.

In this farming season, farmers mainly apply biosafety farming technology, floating tank farming technology, and greenhouse shrimp breeding... The district's agricultural sector and local authorities are promoting self-balancing farming practices, staggered stocking, and crop rotation to ensure a reliable supply of fry and marketability upon harvest. Seed management is also strictly controlled; only seeds with verifiable origins and guaranteed quality are allowed for stocking.
Farmers have now stocked 70% of the area for the first shrimp crop and are striving to complete stocking the entire area within the next week.
