Realizing the danger level of drowning incidents occurring in the province, in recent years, the Anh Son District Youth Union has proactively coordinated with localities to implement many measures to prevent drowning and injuries to children.

Accordingly, since the beginning of summer 2016, Anh Son District Youth Union has carried out propaganda work on drowning prevention; organized swimming and drowning prevention classes for children; equipped them with swimming skills; first aid skills when accidents occur... to help them improve their health, perfect their life skills to protect themselves and prevent drowning accidents.
63 anti-drowning signs were installed at dams and lakes where children are at risk of drowning. At the same time, 21 commune and town groups organized summer activities such as art competitions, physical education, sports, etc., attracting thousands of young people to participate.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ha - Secretary of Anh Son District Youth Union said: "In addition to implementing specific measures for the Youth Union bases, the District Youth Union Executive Committee pays great attention to propaganda, education, and raising awareness for everyone in the community; directing the Youth Union bases to regularly inspect and review all ponds, lakes, rivers and streams; post prohibition signs and danger signs in river and stream areas; establish youth shock troops and volunteer youth teams to regularly guard and remind children not to play in dangerous places, not to bathe in ponds, lakes, and streams without permission, and be ready to rescue when an accident occurs."
With the practical measures of the Anh Son District Youth Union, it will contribute practically to preventing drowning for children in the area, so that summer truly becomes a time of rest, fun and safety for children.
