Quy Hop District Youth Union organizes Congress for term 2017-2022

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 21, Quy Hop District Youth Union organized the 20th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2017 - 2022.

During the past term, Quy Hop District Youth Union carried out 12 district-level youth projects, 105 commune-level youth projects and 1,348 branch-level projects, attracting more than 19,000 young union members to participate with a total value of more than 3 billion VND.

Coordinated the organization of 28 SVTN teams with 538 volunteers to volunteer in the local summer, organized 58 legal communication sessions, opened 42 summer cultural classes, participated in repairing and reinstalling the electrical system for 153 poor households, gave 300 gifts and helped 1,250 working days for policy families.

Youth Union members in the district donated more than 1,000 units of blood; distributed more than 500 free meals and porridge to patients and their families in difficult circumstances. Examined and provided free medicine to 3,578 people with a value of more than 300 million VND.

The District Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with organizations, individuals and mobilized young union members throughout the district to donate 1,548 gifts worth 420 million VND to people and children in disadvantaged areas; organized 31 environmental sanitation campaigns, collecting more than 70 m³mud, garbage, clearing village roads and alleys with more than 1,750 youth union members participating.

Coordinate with departments, branches, and organizations to mobilize members' families and union members to build 263 household incinerators; Organize 60 technical training classes, provide free training in veterinary animal husbandry, brocade weaving, and motorbike repair for more than 1,800 youth union members.

Organized career guidance for more than 900 rural youth union members; provided admission consultation for more than 7,000 12th grade students. Up to now, the outstanding loan from the Policy Bank to support youth union members in developing production is more than 68 billion VND, with 67 loan groups.

During the term, the district introduced 1,025 outstanding union members for the party to consider admission, of which 887 comrades were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

With the spirit of solidarity and unity, the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quy Hop district, term XX, 2017-2022, elected 24 comrades to the new Executive Committee and elected 10 delegates to attend the provincial congress.
