Quynh Luu District Youth Union: Numerous humanitarian and charitable activities
(Baonghean.vn)- This morning, January 8th, the Quỳnh Lưu District Youth Union held a conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union and youth movements in 2012 and to implement the work program for 2013.
In 2012, the Youth Union and Youth Association activities and youth movements in Quynh Luu district achieved many outstanding results. (District Youth Union)He directed the organization of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress at all levels and successfully organized the 25th District Youth Union Congress - Term 2012-2017; the "Good Children of Uncle Ho" Congress at all levels leading up to the 20th "Good Children of Uncle Ho" Congress. He organized the "Youth Month 2012", the campaign "Quynh Luu Youth studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings", ... and other vibrant activities on the occasion of holidays and anniversaries throughout the year. He participated in competitions to learn about the life and career of comrades Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.
During the year, the District Youth Union successfully implemented the "4 accompanying" and "5 pioneering" movements; organized the "Red Blood Drop Day" in 2012, collecting 359 units of blood. They also distributed 300 gifts worth nearly 30 million VND to families receiving preferential treatment, donated 75 million VND to underprivileged students, raised over 110 million VND for the "Scholarship Fund," and contributed 3125 stones (equivalent to 50 million VND) to the "Contributing stones to build Trường Sa."
With the theme "Improving the effectiveness of the Youth Union's educational work; continuing to consolidate and improve the quality of the Youth Union branches," the Conference approved the main targets, priorities, and programs.Youth Union and Youth Association activities and youth movements in Quynh Luu district in 2013.
At the conference, the District Youth Union also awarded commendations to grassroots Youth Union organizations, Youth Federation organizations, clubs, teams, and groups that achieved outstanding results in Youth Union work and youth movements in 2012.
