(Baonghean.vn) - In 2 days (June 14-5), the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Thanh Chuong district held the Congress of delegates for the 2017-2022 term.

Thanh Chuong Youth Union's activities are evaluated by superiors as being among the top, and for many consecutive years it has been classified as an excellent unit by the Provincial Youth Union, and has been awarded many Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit and emulation flags by the Central Youth Union, the Provincial People's Committee... In particular, in 2013, it was honored to receive the "Third Class Labor Medal" from the President.

Promoting the achieved results with the common viewpoint of building a strong youth union and enhancing revolutionary ideal education for youth, the Congress has built and passed a Resolution on the goals and tasks for the next term, focusing on labor, production, and creative shock activities to contribute to building a civilized and prosperous homeland.

Some important targets agreed upon by the congress are to strive to undertake at least 2 district-level youth projects every year, with each Youth Union unit undertaking at least 5 youth projects and tasks; 40/40 commune and town unions to maintain Green Sunday on the 3rd Sunday of every month; eliminate 40 black spots of waste and environmental sanitation; build 40 models of environmental protection propaganda; coordinate to organize at least 5 voluntary blood donation campaigns with 2,000 units of blood and 5 medical examinations and treatment sessions, and provide free medicine to 1,500 people.

The congress elected 27 comrades to the new term Executive Committee and elected a delegation to attend the congress of the higher-level union.
