Nghe An highland district establishes special quarantine area to prevent Covid-19

On February 17, Ky Son district officially put into operation a special isolation area in Chieu Luu commune with a scale of 36 hospital beds, ready to isolate and treat patients infected with acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus (Covid-19).

The isolation area has 9 rooms with 36 beds, fully equipped with medical supplies, protective equipment, medicine, hand sanitizer, and hygiene area.

In addition to establishing two quarantine areas to prepare for patient treatment, Ky Son also distributed masks and sprayed chemicals at agencies, schools, border gates, and crowded places.

In addition, Ky Son District Medical Center also assigned 6 medical staff on duty 24/7 at the quarantine area to be ready to promptly receive suspected Covid-19 cases for treatment.

At this time, although no Covid-19 cases have been detected in the area, Ky Son district has nearly 1,000 people working and doing business in China, of which 667 have returned to the country so far.

The special isolation area provides isolation treatment for nearly 40 patients infected with the Covid-19 virus when an epidemic unfortunately occurs in the area.
