Hyundai Elantra 2017 combines both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Hyundai has just announced that the Elantra models it launches in 2017 will run both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Elantra is one of the smartest choices for those who prefer a car in the popular price segment, so the in-car entertainment system is also of great interest to users.

Elantra is a popular car line of Hyundai that many customers are interested in. |
“CarPlay provides an instantly recognizable experience for iPhone users, helping to reduce distraction while driving,” Hyundai said in a statement. “CarPlay support allows drivers to make calls, get optimized traffic directions, listen to music, or access messaging. With CarPlay, Siri provides drivers with voice commands, easily accessible via the voice control button on the steering wheel.”
“Elantra is also compatible with Android Auto for seamless and intuitive operation with the most commonly used smartphone functions, including navigation with Google Maps, music streaming, voice search capabilities, and more than 40 approved smartphone apps. Android Auto is compatible with Android phones running version 5.0 or later,” the company further explained.

Entertainment systems like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are being introduced by many car manufacturers. |
None of this means that everyone will be buying a new Elantra, as some other automakers have not yet made any concrete plans for the future. In any case, the Elantra is starting at a pretty attractive $17,150, before taxes. Hopefully, Hyundai’s plans will see both Apple and Google services become standard in other cars in the future.
