Hyundai has just revealed the first images of the 2019 i20; this is a mid-life upgrade (facelift) version with changes to the exterior, upgraded entertainment system and safety equipment.

Hyundai i20 2019 will have two wheel size options of 15 and 16 inches; customers can also choose from 10 exterior paint colors such as: Tomato Red; Champion Blue; Light Blue, etc.

At the front of the car, the trapezoidal grille of the old generation has been replaced by a "Cascading" grille similar to other models of the company such as SantaFe, Accent 2018, ... The headlights are kept in the same design, the old round fog lights are replaced with new ones and placed inside the fake air intake, the front bumper is also replaced.

Meanwhile, at the rear of the car, the new pair of LED taillights are designed to be much more modern and eye-catching; the license plate position is moved up to the rear door, right below the HYUNDAI logo. Overall, the 2019 Hyundai i20 still retains the neat design lines of a subcompact but is made more youthful and modern.

Inside the interior, the car is equipped with a 7-inch central touch screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity support; in addition, Hyundai is more generous when equipping the i20 2019 with the Hyundai SmartSense system, including safety technologies such as: lane keeping system, distraction warning system, front collision warning system and a series of other safety features (only available on the SE version).

Under the hood of the 2019 Hyundai i20 is a 1.0L inline 4-cylinder I4 engine with two different power levels including: 98 horsepower using a 5-speed manual transmission and 118 horsepower for the version using a 6-speed automatic transmission. For the 1.2L engine version, the car uses a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with a capacity of 73 and 83 horsepower respectively. All versions have a Start/Stop Engine button starting system.

Hyundai has not announced the price for the 2019 i20, the car is expected to go on sale in Europe around mid-2018.
