New generation Hyundai Santa Fe revealed
Ahead of the launch of the next generation of its popular crossover, the Korean automaker has released a sketch showing major changes.
If the sketch is anything like the one above, the new Santa Fe will be one of the most muscular crossovers in its segment. It also features the latest Hyundai SUV, the Kona, with its flat headlights, side sills, and low grille. The grille is also said to resemble the Infiniti luxury line, rather than the typical design of the Korean automaker.

A few days ago, Hyundai also revealed the first photo of the new generation Santa Fe, showingsome exterior design lines. Compared to the current generation, the new generation has thinner headlights and new taillights. The side lines are also more prominent, higher, clearly connecting from the headlights to the taillights. The front of the car also seems longer, more sporty and the rear of the car is more tapered.

According to Hyundai, the fourth generation of the Santa Fe still has the same driver assistance safety features as the current generation, but adds a rear occupant alert system - a feature that detects the presence of passengers in the rear and alerts the driver. The Santa Fe also has an automatic reverse braking feature, which means the system will automatically brake in case the driver does not realize there is a person or vehicle behind when reversing. This feature has only appeared on some models of some manufacturers, such as Subaru and Nissan.

Engine options for the new generation Santa Fe are said to still include the current versions: 3.3-liter V6, 2-liter I4 and 2.4-liter I4. According to the plan, Hyundai will introduce the next generation of the crossover in February. Santa Fe's competitors are still familiar names such as Toyota Fortuner or Kia Sorento.
