Iniesta and Barca President have opposite statements about the contract

Not long after President Bartomeu announced that an agreement had been reached to extend his contract, Iniesta publicly denied it.

The situation happened after an interview with Barca President Josep Bartomeu on September 6. "We have reached an agreement in principle on extending Iniesta's contract. Hopefully we can complete it in the coming weeks," Bartomeu said.

Not long after the President's statement, when asked for confirmation, Iniesta replied: "No, nothing."

According to Mundo Deportivo, the contradiction shows that one of the two statements is false. Doubts about President Bartomeu's irresponsible statements are also increasing.
