iPhone 4S breaks all records in just the first three days

According to an announcement from Apple, the iPhone 4S has set a new record by selling 4 million units in just 3 days, since its official launch on October 14.

This also helped the iPhone 4S become the phone with the highest sales ever and more than double the sales of the iPhone 4 in the first 3 days of sale.

Speaking before the event, Mr. Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Apple said: "This is a record sales volume for a phone ever, more than double the iPhone 4 when it was first released."

Currently, iPhone 4S is sold in 7 countries including the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK. According to plan, iPhone 4S will continue to be available in 22 other countries on October 28 and by the end of the year will be sold in more than 70 countries.
The iPhone 4S comes in black and white, and is sold in the US with a 2-year service contract for $199, $299 and $399 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions respectively.

In addition to talking about the new record, Apple also said that the iOS 5 operating system now has 25 million customers using it, just 5 days after its release, and more than 20 million people have signed up to use iCloud, Apple's new cloud storage service.
