Iran refuses to extend sanctions beyond the 10-year deadline.
According to Reuters, on July 22, Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Abbas Araqchi, declared that the Islamic Republic would not accept any attempts to extend sanctions related to its nuclear program.

Speaking at a press conference in Vienna on July 15th regarding the historic nuclear agreement reached between Tehran and the P5+1 group (comprising Britain, France, Russia, China, the US, and Germany), Araqchi emphasized that any attempts to reimpose sanctions after they expire in 10 years would be a violation of the agreement and would undermine "trust."
Earlier, on July 21, the Iranian parliament established a 15-member special committee to review the nuclear agreement that the country reached with the P5+1 group last week.
According to the Iranian Constitution, Parliament has the power to reject any agreement, including those negotiated by the Foreign Minister.
However, the likelihood of lawmakers rejecting the nuclear deal is low, given that the agreement has received the support of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
It remains unclear whether the committee will issue an official statement or proceed with a vote after evaluating the agreement.
