According to Reuters, on July 22, Iran's senior nuclear negotiator, Mr. Abbas Araqchi, declared that the Islamic Republic will not accept any efforts to extend sanctions related to its nuclear program.

Speaking at a press conference on the historic nuclear deal reached on July 15 between Tehran and the P5+1 group (including the UK, France, Russia, China, the US plus Germany) in Vienna, Mr. Araqchi emphasized that any attempt to re-impose sanctions after these measures expire within 10 years would be a violation of the agreement and cause "loss of trust."
Previously, on July 21, the Iranian Parliament established a special committee of 15 members to review the nuclear deal that the country reached with the P5+1 group last week.
Under Iran's constitution, parliament has the power to reject any agreement, including those negotiated by the foreign minister.
However, the possibility of lawmakers rejecting the nuclear deal is less likely as the agreement has received the support of Iran's supreme spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
It is not yet clear whether the committee will issue an official statement or vote after evaluating the agreement./.
