Iran breaks US sanctions by continuing to export oil
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has affirmed that the country will continue to boost crude oil exports despite US sanctions.
In a speech on state television on November 19, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that US sanctions against Iran were part of a psychological war that Washington was waging against Tehran. This war would fail and Iran would continue to export crude oil.

Previously, on November 5, in a meeting broadcast live on Iranian state television, Mr. Rouhani also announced that he would continue exporting crude oil, while breaking US sanctions on the energy and banking and finance sectors.
The US plans to increase pressure on Iran by completely banning allied countries from importing oil from Iran, starting from November 4. However, due to strong reactions from allies, the US has affirmed that it does not want the sanctions to "harm" other countries and has issued 8 "exceptions", temporarily allowing 8 "customers" to continue importing Iranian oil, including China, India, South Korea, Japan and Turkey./.
