On May 3, original manuscripts of Karl Marx, the leader of the world's proletariat, were put on display at Nanjing University in Nanjing, capital of eastern China's Jiangsu Province. The exhibition was held to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great revolutionary (May 5, 1818).
The exhibition uses historical documents and artifacts to show how Marxism was formed, developed and spread to China over the past 200 years. Among the artifacts on display are some of Karl Marx's original notes from his time in Brussels, Belgium.
The above notes are all from the personal collection of Mr. Zeng Huansha, Chairman of Jiangsu Redsun Group. This collection has been evaluated and confirmed by experts from the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Humanities and the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam (Netherlands) as original manuscripts of Karl Marx.

US intelligence said yesterday (May 3) that North Korea has begun to close the Punggye-ri nuclear test site by dismantling support systems in the tunnels.CBS Newsreport
The removal of cables from the tunnel at Punggye-ri is believed to be the beginning of the process of decommissioning the only nuclear test site in North Korea, and is also seen as Pyongyang's first move to fulfill a commitment by leader Kim Jong-un.
During the summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on April 27, Mr. Kim announced that he would invite experts and journalists from the US and South Korea to the country to witness and ensure "transparency" when closing the nuclear test site. The South Korean president then had a phone call with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, asking the UN to confirm the process of closing Pyongyang's Punggye-ri test site.

Ali Akbar Velayati, foreign policy adviser to Iran's supreme leader, said the government "will not accept any additions or removals" to the nuclear deal it signed with six world powers in 2015 in exchange for the easing of economic sanctions. "If the United States withdraws from the nuclear deal, we will not continue to participate," Velayati said, according toAFP.
The statement was made in the context of US President Trump threatening to withdraw from the nuclear deal, calling it "the worst deal the US has ever negotiated". Trump set a deadline of May 12 for European allies to amend the document to be tougher on Tehran.

On May 3, British voters began voting in local elections to choose thousands of new members for local councils.
This is seen as the first test for Prime Minister Theresa May since her Conservative Party lost its parliamentary majority after a snap election last year.
More than 4,300 seats will be up for grabs in local councils in cities across England, including Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. Prime Minister May's Conservative Party will compete with opposition parties for 32 council seats in London, its traditional stronghold.

The US President said he had paid the refund to his personal lawyer Michael Cohen in monthly transactions. "Campaign money or campaign contributions were not involved in this payment," Trump wrote on Twitter today.
He said Cohen used the money to execute "a private contract between the two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement" and said its purpose was to "stop the false and distorted allegations" of porn star Stormy Daniels, who revealed she had slept with Trump in 2006.
Earlier, Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump's new lawyer, said the President had repaid $130,000 to his personal lawyer Cohen. This contradicts Trump's previous statements. A month ago, Trump affirmed that he did not know about the hush agreement between Stormy Daniels and lawyer Cohen right before the 2016 US presidential election.
Some campaign finance experts say that even if Trump paid for the money himself, he could still face criminal charges for causing his campaign to file false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission. The payment to Daniels could be considered an illegal campaign contribution.
