Iran asks US to drop disrespectful tone towards Supreme Leader
Iran's foreign minister said the US president must drop his disrespectful tone towards Supreme Leader Khamenei if a deal is to be signed.

According to RIA Novosti on June 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said on social network X that US President Donald Trump should abandon his disrespectful tone towards Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei if he sincerely wants to make a deal with Tehran.
“If President Trump sincerely wishes to conclude a deal, he should abandon his disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameinei and stop hurting millions of his true believers,” Foreign Minister Aragchi wrote.
Earlier, at a press conference after the NATO Summit in The Hague, President Donald Trump spoke about upcoming negotiations between US and Iranian representatives next week. The US president noted that as a result of the negotiations, an agreement could be signed, although for him it was "not necessary".
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said on June 26 that Iran has not yet decided whether to hold a new round of talks with the United States, the issue is being resolved.
Meanwhile, US media quoted sources as saying that the Trump administration has discussed the possibility of helping Iran access up to $30 billion to build a civilian nuclear energy program, easing sanctions and removing billions of dollars in frozen Iranian funds. All these moves are part of an intensified effort to bring Tehran back to the negotiating table.
