Iraq suddenly launched an airstrike on IS in Syria, killing 36 militants

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, the country's F-16 fighter jets attacked an explosives factory and several other strongholds of the IS terrorist organization in Syria.

Some regional sources added that the Iraqi airstrike coincided with a meeting of this terrorist organization, leading to a relatively large number of casualties.

This is considered a "rare" airstrike by Iraq against the IS terrorist organization in Syria, confirming the Iraqi Prime Minister's commitment not long before that he was ready to attack IS gunmen in Syria if they threatened the security of this country. It is known that to carry out the above airstrike, Iraq received close support and cooperation from the Syrian Government military forces.
