ISIS claims to have executed Chinese and Norwegian hostages.

(Baonghean.vn) – On November 18, according to the latest propaganda magazine disseminated by IS on the Internet, the extremist jihadists executed two hostages – one Chinese and one Norwegian – after two months of demanding ransom.

In issue 12 of Dabiq magazine, IS published photos of the bodies of two hostages with blood-soaked faces, accompanied by large yellow lettering that read, "Executed after being abandoned by godless nations and organizations."

Under the headline "The Fate of 2 Prisoners," they published a photo of two blindfolded men with bloodied faces. It appears these two men were shot dead. On September 10th, IS announced for the first time the capture of two hostages, but did not specify where they were abducted.

According to information available so far, the identities of the two hostages who were executed are:

Ole Johan Grimsgaard Ofstad, 48, who is affiliated with the Trondheim University of Science and Technology (in western Norway), announced on Facebook that he was going to Idlib (northern Syria). However, no one knows the reason why Ofstad decided to go to this area.

The Chinese hostage executed by IS has been identified as Phan Kinh Huy, a 50-year-old professional.

Norway has confirmed the kidnapping of Ole Johan Grimsgaard Ofstad, one of its citizens, shortly after he arrived in Syria in late January 2015. However, the Norwegian government has ruled out the possibility of kidnapping in response to ISIS's ransom demands.

The Chinese government has also acknowledged that one of its citizens may have fallen into the hands of IS.
