During the meeting, the two sides reached a secret agreement worth 250 million USD, according to which the Israeli side transferred spy technology to Riyadh.
This is one of the most advanced spy systems Israel has ever sold to an Arab country. The latest spy system was transferred by Tel Aviv to Riyadh, after Israel sent personnel to Saudi Arabia to conduct training on how to use the system.
Earlier in September, Al-Khaleej news site reported that Saudi Arabia had purchased Israel's Iron Dome missile defense systems to defend against missile attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi Islamist rebel group.
Israel does not have formal diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, but informal channels of communication have been established between the two countries over the past few years. There are signs that the two countries are growing closer, largely due to their shared concerns about Iranian expansion.
