Israel begins implementing Trump's Gaza plan
Israel has begun implementing the first stage of US President Donald Trump's proposed plan - releasing all hostages.

According to RIA Novosti on October 4, the Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported that, in the context of the reaction of the Hamas movement, Israel immediately began implementing the first phase of the plan to release all hostages proposed by US President Donald Trump.
"In response to Hamas's response, Israel is immediately beginning the first phase of President Trump's plan to immediately release all hostages," the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said.
The Israeli government will continue to work with the White House chief and the US administration to end the war according to principles established by Israel that correspond to their vision, the agency added.
Earlier, on October 3, Hamas announced its readiness to release all surviving Israeli hostages and hand over the bodies of those killed according to the US leader's plan. Commenting on this statement, President Donald Trump himself called on Tel Aviv to immediately stop bombing Gaza.
At the same time, Hamas deputy political leader Musa Abu Marzouk stressed that releasing hostages and transferring bodies within 72 hours is not realistic under current conditions. Hamas also agreed to transfer control of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas claims that other issues are included in the US President's plan regarding the future of the land and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, they concern a comprehensive statehood based on international law. They stressed that these topics were planned to be discussed within the framework of the all-Palestinian structure, including Hamas.
On September 29, the White House released a "comprehensive" 20-point plan from President Donald Trump to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. It stipulates an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages within 72 hours.
