Isuzu improves mu-X, challenges Toyota Fortuner

After 4 years since the first generation of Isuzu mu-X appeared in the Thai market, this model continues to be upgraded and is ready for its debut at the Bangkok Motor Show 2017 taking place at the end of March.

In the Thai market, the improved Isuzu mu-X still uses the RZ4E-TC diesel engine, 4 cylinders, 1.9 liters, and the 4JJ1-TCX 3.0 liter, 4 cylinder diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic RevTronic transmission and optional 4-wheel drive system.

All changes are mainly focused on the interior and exterior design of the car. The graphic image shows that the Isuzu mu-X 2017 still retains the overall design, while the front of the car is more modern and fashionable with more sophisticated redesigned details. In addition, the adjustment of the wheel design, fog lights, headlights, taillights and new grille... helps this SUV become stronger and sportier.

Meanwhile, the interior promises to be upgraded by Isuzu with new, higher-quality materials, replacing the hard plastic on the current version. There are more leather-wrapped details while the amenities are still fully provided as before.

The improvement of mu-X after 4 years on the market is considered a strategic step of Isuzu in the plan to compete with rivals in the same segment. Especially in the context that Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest or Chevrolet Trailblazer have launched new generations or improved versions recently. In Vietnam, Isuzu mu-X has been sold by the Japanese car company since August 2016 with two versions.

The 2017 Isuzu mu-X facelift will be on display at the Bangkok Motor Show 2017 taking place at the end of March 2017.
