Leicester City striker wins annual vote by Football Writers' Association (FWA).

Vardy received 36% of the votes from 290 participating journalists, surpassing his two teammates who were right behind him.Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante.

The 29-year-old striker is having the best season of his career, with 24 goals for both his club and the England team. His important contribution helps Leicester stand before a historic opportunity: winning the Premier League. If in the latest match of round 36 (taking place at 2am on May 3, Hanoi time), Tottenham cannot beat Chelsea,Vardy and teammateswill be crowned champions as they are eight points clear of their only rival.

In the FWA vote, a total of seven Leicester players received votes.
