In 1997, the singer met Ojani Noa, a waiter at a hotel in Miami. At a party celebrating the end of the film Selena, Ojani Noa grabbed the microphone and proposed to Jennifer a diamond ring on the dance floor. She accepted, the two married that same year but divorced in January 1998.
