Quy Chinh 1 and 2 hamlets, Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district were recognized as craft villages in 2006. The village has a long tradition of producing rice vermicelli and rice paper. The rice vermicelli and rice paper processing has created jobs and helped many families become rich legitimately.
The village's vermicelli products are consumed in many places such as Thanh Chuong, Nghia Dan, Quynh Luu, Vinh, Ha Tinh, etc. Households can directly bring vermicelli to import, or traders will come to pick it up at home. After deducting expenses, the craft village earns 12-15 billion VND each year, contributing to a prosperous and comfortable life and a new, spacious rural appearance for Quy Chinh village.
Rice vermicelli and rice paper production groups and households are guided to divide into groups (raw material group, environmental sanitation group, business group, production group, product consumption group, etc.) and organize coordination to create close links in production and business, meeting the needs of ensuring food hygiene and safety. With the support of the project, people gradually build brands, register labels and expand the market, in order to increase product value and increase income for people working in the profession.
