According to Mr. Momani, the above decisions are part of Jordan's strategy to protect stability in the region, made after reviewing the causes of the crisis between Qatar and some Gulf Arab countries. Jordan hopes that all parties will soon overcome this difficult period.
On June 5, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain announced the termination of diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing Doha of supporting terrorist groups and interfering in the internal affairs of countries in the region.
In support of these countries' decisions, Yemen, the internationally recognized government in eastern Libya and the Maldives also severed diplomatic relations with Doha on the same morning./.
