The defending champions came from behind to win 2-1 against Atalanta, thus continuing their progress towards defending their title.

Pirlo sealed the victory for Juventus with a spectacular long-range strike from 25 meters. Earlier, Atalanta had opened the scoring through Giulio Migliaccio, and Juventus had equalized with a close-range finish from Fernando Llorente.

Juventus currently have 57 points, 10 points ahead of second-placed Roma. This will put considerable pressure on Roma when they visit Verona in this 24th round.

The victory against Atalanta helped Juventus maintain their unbeaten home streak in Serie A to 40 matches. The last time the Turin team lost at Juventus Arena was on January 6, 2013, against Sampdoria, more than two years ago.

Atalanta got off to an impressive start despite playing away at Juventus. The visitors surprised the home side by playing evenly in the first half and taking the lead with a header from Migliaccio. However, this seemed to awaken Juventus, and Allegri's players quickly showed their class by scoring twice against Atalanta in the first half.

Juventus could have increased their lead in the second half, but the Atalanta goalkeeper made an excellent save to deny Paul Pogba's close-range header.

A comfortable victory against Atalanta provides Juventus with the necessary preparation as they host Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 next week.
