Morata opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a close-range tap-in from Lichtsteiner's cross. At the end of the first half, the Spanish striker continued to score a similar simple goal, this time assisted by Khedira.
Juventus had a big advantage and played leisurely in the second half. However, the visitors still scored two more goals thanks to Alex Sandro and Paul Pogba. Pogba scored the final goal to make it 4-0 after a breakthrough from the middle.
This is Juventus' 12th consecutive win in Serie A, thereby taking them to the top of the table for the first time this season. Juventus currently has 48 points, just one point more than Napoli. The Naples team can regain their position if they win against Empoli in the match of round 22.
The standout in Juventus' win was striker Morata. The former Real Madrid player took advantage of Mandzukic's injury to shine again. Morata has scored four goals in his last two games, including two against Inter in the first leg of the Coppa Italia last week.
Morata's future has been a hot topic at Juventus this winter. The 23-year-old striker has faced fierce competition and has been overshadowed by new signing Dybala. There was even a time when Morata was only a substitute despite being a star player for Juventus last season. There has been some talk of a move to the Premier League, but his recent performances have made it difficult for Juventus to let him go.
In the match against Chievo, coach Max Allegri fielded almost his strongest lineup after resting some of his key players against Inter in the middle of the week. This caused the home team Chievo to be completely overwhelmed and quickly give up. Juventus launched 30 shots, 10 of which were on target.
The Turin club's current form leaves them unrivalled in the domestic league. Juventus could be aiming to match Inter's record for most consecutive wins in Serie A. In the 2006-07 season, Inter won 17 games in a row when Juventus were relegated to Serie B due to the Calciopoli scandal.
