Karate brings home the first 2 gold medals for Vietnam at the SEA Games
(Baonghean.vn) - The first two Gold Medals of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 32nd SEA Games came from Karate, in the men's and women's team performance events.
On the afternoon of May 6, at the Karate competition area, the kata (performance) martial artists quenched the thirst for Gold Medals for Vietnamese sports, especially the martial arts group.
The trio of Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Luu Thi Thu Uyen and Nguyen Thi Phuong performed excellently in the women's kata team, thereby defeating the Indonesian team in the final match of the competition day. It can be seen that the two Vietnamese and Indonesian women's kata teams both performed well with strong decentralization techniques, however, we were still better to win the Gold Medal.

In the final of the women's Karate individual performance, Nguyen Thi Phuong won the Silver Medal with a score of 40.2 points. Although she could not defend the Gold Medal won at the 31st SEA Games, this achievement can still be considered not bad for Nguyen Thi Phuong.
