According to KBS, the amount is clearly stated on the website of the US State Department's program called Rewards for Justice. This amount includes payment for information, including information that leads to the arrest of suspected terrorists.

Regarding North Korea, the US wants to get its hands on data on the supply of petroleum products and coal, the work of North Korean citizens abroad, violations of trade sanctions, as well as arms sales and imports of luxury goods. There are also bounties for information on cybercrimes carried out at Pyongyang's behest.

The United Nations has long suspected that North Korea is overloading its ships to evade sanctions. Last March, it was reported that Pyongyang was using “Age of Pirates” tactics by transferring oil from one tanker to another, falsifying the ships’ geolocation data and changing ship identification numbers mid-route.
