London stabbing suspect suspected of mental illness

At 10:30 pm on August 3 (local time), a knife attack occurred in Russell Square, central London, killing a 60-year-old woman and injuring 5 others. The health status of the injured has not yet been determined.
The police said: "The perpetrator is currently being held in a hospital clinic under police guard. Initial assessments indicate that mental illness is the main cause of this incident and is one of the lines of investigation. However, at this stage, nothing can be confirmed and terrorism cannot be ruled out."
Counter-terrorism police are still investigating the attack, a source from London police said.
Police announced that to ensure people's safety, on August 4, forces will be increased on the streets.
