The killer of a female exam proctor was brought to court.

After more than a month of adjournment due to the absence of the victim's family and lawyer, the killer of the female exam supervisor will be brought to trial.

According to the schedule, on the morning of April 26, the People's Court of Ha Tinh province opened the first instance trial of Nguyen Van Tien (26 years old), residing in Thach Linh ward, Ha Tinh city, for murder, robbery and child molestation. Judge Bui Dinh Thong presided over the trial.

More than a month earlier (March 23), defendant Tien was brought to trial. However, a few minutes after the trial began, it had to be adjourned because the victim’s family and Tien’s defense attorney were absent without reason.

According to the case, on the evening of July 3, 2016, female supervisor Pham Thi Oanh (23 years old, from Ha Nam, a final year student at Hue University of Education) went to Ha Tinh to supervise the National High School Exam. After the last day of the exam, Oanh rented a motel room to stay and called a taxi for Tien to take her to the An Nhien Church (Thach Ha Commune, Ha Tinh City).

Leaving the church, the female supervisor continued to ask Tien to take her to visit a male student's house about 500 meters away. On the way back, Tien drove the female student Oanh around to a deserted field behind Thach Trung commune (Thach Ha district), then stopped and locked the car door, strangled the victim to death, and took 250,000 VND. After that, Tien carried the female supervisor's body and threw it down Su bridge (Thach Ha) to destroy the evidence.

After many hours of investigation, on the morning of July 5, 2016, the police arrested Tien while he was parking his car at a shopping mall in Ha Tinh City.

At the investigation agency, Tien confessed to his crime. At 9am the same day, the police found the body of the unfortunate female student under Su bridge (Thach Ha district).

Authorities also discovered and prosecuted Tien for Child Molestation. Accordingly, on June 2, 2016, Tien drove a taxi carrying a girl named Giang (11 years old, name changed), from Ha Tinh city to Thach Khe commune (Thach Ha). During the journey, the young man touched her sensitive area despite the girl's strong reaction.

When Giang returned home, her family noticed that her daughter was acting strangely, not eating, and was scared. When her relatives questioned her, the girl told them the whole story.
