(Baonghean.vn)- Before brutally murdering taxi driver Van Xuan in Ha Tinh, Nguyen Xuan Linh committed a crime against a Mai Linh taxi driver when he was only 17 years old.

On the morning of January 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Province prosecuted the case of taxi driver Van Xuan in Vinh City who was murdered and robbed of his car in Ha Tinh, prosecuted the accused, and issued an order to detain Nguyen Xuan Linh (27 years old), residing in Thach Binh Commune, Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province, for murder and robbery.

As previously reported,At around 11 p.m., Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan (39 years old, residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city, Nghe An) - driver of Van Xuan taxi company (Nghe An) was parking his taxi on the sidewalk of Le Duan street (Vinh city) waiting for customers.

A passenger got into a taxi and asked Mr. Tuan to take him to Ha Tinh. While traveling on National Highway 8A (in Trung Le commune, Duc Tho district), he was murdered.

After the robber left Tuan's body on a deserted road, he drove the Van Xuan taxi away. When they reached Dau Lieu ward (Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh), the front tire of the car blew out, so the robber had to abandon the car. People discovered Tuan's body, then discovered the Van Xuan taxi left on the road, and reported it to the police. Tuan's phone was also left on the taxi. From this phone, the police found the number of a relative to report the incident.

The police investigated and arrested Nguyen Xuan Linh at 3:40 a.m. on January 14, when Linh was hiding in Vuong Loc commune (Can Loc district, Ha Tinh). At the Ha Tinh police station, Linh confessed that because he needed money to spend, he had the idea of ​​going to Vinh city to rent a taxi to Duc Tho (Ha Tinh) to rob property.

After killing Mr. Tuan, Linh stole a tablet, one million VND and some other properties from Mr. Tuan and drove a taxi to Dau Lieu ward (Hong Linh town) when the front tire of the car exploded. Fearing being discovered, Linh threw away the above properties and the blood-stained shirt to escape but was discovered and arrested by the police shortly afterwards.

Linh had a previous conviction of 5 years in prison for robbery in Da Nang. That was in July 2005, Linh was only 17 years old but he recklessly hired a Mai Linh taxi from Da Nang to Hue. On the way, he pulled out a knife to rob the driver and then forced Linh to go to Hue. However, on the way, the taxi driver saw the police so he stopped the car in time, opened the door and rushed out to call for help and the police arrested Linh.
