Ahead of the AFF Cup 2022, the Vietnam national team has begun to focus on preparing for the biggest tournament in Southeast Asia. Here is the detailed training plan of coach Park Hang Seo and his team.

According to plan, the Vietnam National Team will practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center starting from November 23.

On November 30, the team will have an international friendly match with Borussia Dortmund at My Dinh Stadium. This is a match that is highly appreciated by the team's coaching staff. Competing with a powerful representative from Bundesliga is also an opportunity for the Vietnam team to have an effective start for the journey towards the AFF Cup 2022.

After the match with Borussia Dortmund, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will travel to Ba Ria Vung Tau for training from December 2 to December 10. After that, the team will return to Hanoi to prepare for the international friendly match against the Philippines, scheduled to take place at Hang Day Stadium on December 14.

On December 17 or 18, the team will leave for Vientiane (Laos) to prepare for the opening match in Group B against host Laos, taking place on December 21.

Quang Hai goes to Switzerland for training, will not play friendly match with Dortmund

According to the latest information, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai will not return to Vietnam to play a friendly match with Borussia Dortmund but will go to Switzerland for training.

Right before coach Park Hang-seo announced the list of players to join the Vietnam national team, the coaching staff of Pau FC agreed to let Quang Hai return to the team to compete in the AFF Cup 2022.

Agreeing to let Quang Hai play in the AFF Cup 2022, this team only agreed to release him on December 15, just a few days before the Vietnam team plays against Laos on December 21. Before that, Quang Hai will go to Switzerland for training, because Pau coach Didier Tholot does not want him to participate in friendly matches because he is worried that Hai will get injured.
