A drug addict stormed into a market in Binh Duong, screaming and slashing wildly with a knife, killing a fishmonger on the spot.

On the morning of June 13, Phan Huu Trong (32 years old) entered Phu An market, Ben Cat town (Binh Duong) with signs of being high on drugs, continuously screaming and beating people for no reason.

Seeing many vendors trying to stop him, he rushed to the meat stall and attacked with a knife, injuring about 3 people. Many people panicked and ran away.

Mr. Pham Cong Nghiep (59 years old) was sitting selling fish and couldn't run away in time when he was slashed to death on the spot.

An Phu Commune Police force, about 500 meters from the market, quickly controlled the suspect., seized weapons.

According to the police, Trong lives near the market, is a drug addict, unemployed, and often wanders around. The suspect is being detained for investigation of murder.
