Game addict kills motorbike taxi driver, dumps body in ditch

Hiring a motorbike taxi to a deserted road, a young man in Kien Giang killed this person, disposed of the body, then stole the motorbike and pawned it for money to play games.

On the afternoon of August 23, Kien Giang Provincial Police arrested Thai Thanh Binh (23 years old, in Tan Hiep district) for murder.

According to initial investigation, having no money to play games, two nights ago, Binh took a knife and went to Lac Hong Street in Rach Gia City to hire Mr. Huynh Thanh Phong (49 years old, motorbike taxi driver) to take him to many places.

When he reached a deserted road in Giuc Tuong commune, Chau Thanh district, he pretended to ask the driver to pull over so he could urinate. Without suspecting anything, Mr. Phong stopped his car and was stabbed multiple times from behind by the passenger, killing him.

Binh dragged the victim's body into a ditch to destroy the evidence, then stole the motorbike and 200,000 VND to rent a room to sleep.

The next morning, people discovered Mr. Phong's body and reported it to the police.

During the investigation, the police arrested Binh while he was playing games in Rach Gia City, 36 hours after committing the crime./.
