The killer of father-in-law and brother-in-law was arrested

At around 3:00 p.m. on August 5, Quang Ninh Provincial Police arrested Hoang Van Sat, the suspect in the murder of his father-in-law, Nong Van Soong (72 years old), and his brother-in-law (42 years old) on the evening of August 4 in Zone 10, Thanh Son Ward, Uong Bi City.

Sat was arrested in Nui Deo town, Thuy Nguyen district (Hai Phong city). Currently, Uong Bi city police and the Criminal Police Department of Quang Ninh province police are transferring the suspect to Uong Bi for investigation.

According to the victim's family, Nong Thi Hiep (36 years old, residing in Thanh Son ward, Uong Bi city) and Hoang Van Sat got married but did not register their marriage and had a 10-year-old daughter.

Because Sat was a playboy and not a hard worker, the couple often argued. In early 2018, the couple separated and Hiep went to Hai Phong to work as a factory worker.

Since then, Sat often went to his father-in-law's house, nearly 50 meters away from his house, to cause trouble because he thought Hiep had a new lover.

According to local residents, yesterday afternoon, when Ms. Hiep and a man came home to visit, Sat saw them. Immediately, Sat came over to argue and curse, forcing Ms. Hiep and the man to go to her sister's house to avoid arguing.

Too angry, he went home, took a knife and went to his father-in-law's house to continue causing trouble. Then Sat used the knife to stab Mr. Soong twice in the back and stomach, causing the victim to die on the spot.

Hearing the argument, Mr. Soong's son who lived next door ran over to intervene but was also stabbed in the neck by Sat, causing him to die on the spot. After committing the crime, he fled the scene.
