While working as an accountant at a secondary school in Thua Thien-Hue province, Nguyen Thi Binh increased the salary coefficient of teachers and created social insurance differences to embezzle hundreds of millions of dong.

On the afternoon of June 22, Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police announced that they had issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Thi Binh (40 years old, residing in Chiet Bi village, Phu Thuong commune, Phu Vang district) for fraud and property appropriation.

From 2011 to February 2013, Nguyen Thi Binh was assigned to work as an accountant at Phu Thuong Secondary School (Phu Vang District). Taking advantage of this position, Binh arbitrarily raised the total salary coefficient of the school's staff and teachers higher than the actual, in order to increase the total monthly salary fund to collect the difference.

After transferring salaries to staff and teachers, Binh transferred the remaining money from Phu Thuong Secondary School's account to his personal account to appropriate.

With this trick, Binh also created a difference in Social Insurance money and made many other illegal payments to appropriate over 275 million VND.

Currently, the subject is being released on bail by the police and is prohibited from leaving his place of residence.
