Backup cameras at a gold shop in Dong Nai recorded the thief as a man about 1.6 m tall, wearing a mask and a wide-brimmed hat.

Early in the morning of October 3, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen (33 years old) and her husband were sleeping in the gold shop which is also the family's private home on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street (Buu Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City) when they heard strange noises, suspecting a burglar had broken in.

Turning on the electricity to check, they discovered the jewelry display cabinet was open, containing about 100 taels of gold.rings, necklaces, bracelets... gone. The window next door had a bar sawed off, and the outside roller shutter was also broken.

TThe gold shop had more than 10 surveillance cameras installed but the recorders disappeared.Checking the backup mini camera recorded by memory card, Duyen and her husband discovered a man about 1.6 m tall, wearing a mask and a wide-brimmed hat had broken in to steal property.

The camera recorded that the thief had the help of an accomplice outside. After taking the gold, he searched for the camera receiver before escaping.
