Burglar wakes up homeowner to ask to use wifi
In the middle of the night, an American couple was suddenly woken up and found a masked thief right next to their bed asking them for their wifi password.
Couple over 60 years old in districtPalo Alto, StateIowa, was surprised to be awakened in the middle of the night on July 22 by a masked stranger breaking into her bedroom.Before they could even process what was happening, the elderly couple were even more surprised when the thief asked to use the wifi.
Of course, they refused, then the landlord immediately jumped out of bed, chased the thief down the hall to the front door and called the police. A few minutes later, the thief was caught, no one was injured, according toThenextweb.
This is not the 17-year-old thief's first break-in. Policesaid he had previously broken into another house in the area. "When confronted by the homeowner, he asked to use their wifi because 'he was losing data'. When chased away by the homeowner, he rode a bicycle stolen from the backyard to escape," police said.
