In his speech at the rally celebrating the 85th anniversary of the founding of our Party, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed: "The rich practice of the Vietnamese revolution over the past 85 years has proven that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor deciding all victories of our country's revolution; at the same time, in the process of leading the revolution, our Party has been tempered, tested and constantly matured, gaining experience to become increasingly worthy of its role and mission of leading the revolution, worthy of the people's trust."

With Nghe An - the strategic borderland of the whole country, since the Party was established and under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Nghe An has demonstrated its indomitable revolutionary spirit and mettle. "In the "golden history" of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Nghe An Party Committee has contributed to writing glorious pages since the Party was first established" (History of the Nghe An Party Committee, volume 1). The Nghe An Party Committee led the people to fight to create the 1930-1931 High Tide, the peak of which was the Nghe Tinh Soviet, the first revolutionary high tide of the workers and peasants organized and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, marking a fundamental shift from spontaneous struggle to conscious struggle of the Vietnamese workers' movement.

From the Soviet spirit, in the western districts of Nghe An, the first party cells were also established soon after. In Con Cuong district, until now, people are still very proud because since the establishment of Mon Son Party Cell, the cell has led the revolutionary movement to overcome many rapids to achieve complete victory. The house of Mr. Vi Van Khang in Thai Hoa village is still kept intact. Mon Son Festival is still held every year as a tribute to the revolutionary predecessors who led the light of independence and freedom to the western region of Nghe An. Mon Son today has really changed, the movement to build new rural areas and civilized villages has created a strong spread and change here, the role of the commune party cell as well as the village and hamlet party cells is increasingly evident as the support and trust for the movements.

Comrade Vi Van Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee of Mon Son Commune, said: “The Party Committee and people of Mon Son always deeply understand the position and role of the revolutionary homeland. Many production and homeland construction movements have been launched, bringing high efficiency. People have changed the seed structure, rice productivity has reached the top of the district. People's lives are also improving day by day.”

In the Northwest region of the province, under the leadership of the Party Committees at all levels, the lives of the ethnic people here are also changing every day. Nghia Khanh Commune, where the Party Committee was established in Ru Am Cave (now in Nghia Duc Commune), the first Party Committee of Nghia Dan as well as the Northwest region, gathered a large number of people under the shade of the Lang Tru banyan tree to lead the people to rise up and seize power. Continuing the glorious history of the "red address" land, Nghia Khanh Commune Party Committee in the 2010-2015 term successfully led the people in building new rural areas, achieving 19/19 criteria and was the pioneer commune in land consolidation in Nghia Dan District. Thus, it can be seen that the lesson of success thanks to the solidarity and consensus within the Party has been flexibly and skillfully applied by grassroots Party organizations and Party committees to effectively perform the function of being a bridge between the Party and the people, and Party members, especially Party committees, have become particularly important nuclei. It is impossible to mention all the typical examples of cadres, Party members, and grassroots Party cell secretaries who sacrificed for the people and the country. That is the existence of "Party people" who continue the traditional source of the Party and the Party committee of the homeland, continuing to learn from the communist examples of the revolutionary predecessors. In particular, there is the important meaning of continuing to promote "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", learning from the communist examples of the homeland.

Through 17 Provincial Party Congresses, each session has wisely selected and elected the Executive Committee and Standing Committee who are comrades with sufficient capacity, qualities and prestige to represent the will and aspirations of all Party members and people, to set out goals, directions and solutions for socio-economic, national defense and security in each specific period. During the 2010-2015 term, the Provincial Party Executive Committee has regularly cared for, consolidated and built a strong Party in politics, ideology and organization; promoted the proactive and creative role of the government in management and administration. From there, it has consolidated and gathered the strength of the great national unity bloc in carrying out political tasks. Therefore, in the past 5 years, Nghe An has made many marks in all fields.

From a locality that had to ask for aid from the Central Government for food, the output has now exceeded 1.2 million tons/year; the average income per capita has reached 29 million VND/year; the economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of services and industry-construction, reducing the proportion of agriculture; social security has been taken care of; National defense, security, social order and safety have been maintained, many signs of improvement in the economic and social fields after 2 years of implementing Resolution 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020. Nghe An has never had such full opportunities and new development conditions as it does today, because in addition to the strategic orientation of Resolution 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the Government has also issued 2 very important decisions: Decision No. 2355/QD-TTg on the Project for socio-economic development of Western Nghe An until 2020 and Decision No. 52/QD-TTg on adjusting the master plan of Vinh City until 2030, with a vision to 2050. The prospect of a strong breakthrough in development of Nghe An is gradually becoming a reality.

Believing that, based on the achieved results, along with the viewpoint of continuing to innovate thinking, strengthening the leadership role of the Party, the effectiveness of management and operation of the government apparatus at all levels according to the motto: Economic development is the focus, Party building is the key task, culture must become the driving force of development; mobilize and effectively use resources; promote the human factor, attach importance to developing high-quality human resources...
