However, Mr. Mai Dang Hieu allowed his relative (wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lu Trang) to contribute 51% of the charter capital to form a joint venture with the Japanese at Xin Chao Trading and Tourism Company Limited, but in reality, he did not contribute capital as committed.
In addition, in the first report explaining his wife's participation in capital and shares in enterprises, Mr. Hieu reported missing two enterprises: Asia Star Joint Stock Company and Ngon and Dep Company Limited.
Mr. Hieu legalized the transfer of land use rights to foreigners through a land lease contract, violating land laws; deeply interfered in the operation of Chef Meat Vietnam Joint Stock Company, a company with foreign investment (Japan) not in accordance with the assigned public service activities, causing resentment for the enterprise and being the main cause of complaints and denunciations from Japanese enterprises against Mr. Hieu.
Mr. Mai Dang Hieu violated regulations on the duties of party members when going abroad, specifically: Taking personal leave beyond the prescribed time limit; using official passport for the wrong purpose; most of the trips abroad did not report the results upon returning to the country as prescribed.
As a leader of the city's diplomatic agency, he lacked standards in communication and did not properly perform his assigned duties and tasks, causing frustration for the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned the Da Nang City Party Committee's Inspection Commission, based on the Party's regulations and guidelines on disciplinary enforcement, to advise the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to consider and discipline Mr. Mai Dang Hieu according to the process and direct, consider, and discipline administratively according to the law, ensuring strictness, caution, and compliance with regulations./.
