Connecting the traffic system of key economic zones in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 6, under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session to listen to and give opinions on the Project on developing complete traffic infrastructure connecting key economic zones of Nghe An province, period 2016-2020.

In the socio-economic strategy 2016 - 2020 of the province approved at the 18th Provincial Party Congress, priority resources were determined for 3 key economic regions to create growth poles including: Developing Vinh City - Cua Lo Town - Southeast districts of the province associated with the Southern Nghe - Bac Ha region; Developing Hoang Mai - Quynh Luu region associated with the Southern Thanh - Northern Nghe region; Developing the economy of Western Nghe An, focusing on the Tan Ky - Do Luong - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa, Quy Hop regions. To create momentum for the development of these regions, Nghe An has planned and built economic zones, industrial parks and industrial clusters spread across the entire province.

On September 19, 2014, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision on the Program for building key infrastructure in the province until 2020. There are a total of 23 lists of transport infrastructure projects with a total investment of VND 84,890 billion, of which 15 lists are managed by central agencies with a total investment of VND 71,649 billion and 08 lists are managed by the province with a total investment of VND 13,249 billion.

Up to now, after more than 1 year of implementing the Program on construction of key infrastructure, 06 projects have been put into use, 10 projects are under construction, 04 projects are in the investment preparation stages and 03 projects have not been implemented.

The project to develop complete traffic infrastructure to form a traffic network connecting key economic zones in Nghe An province in the period of 2016-2020 was built with the goal of focusing on calling for investment and mobilizing all resources to ensure that by 2020, traffic works will be basically completed, forming a traffic network connecting key economic zones in Nghe An province.

Accordingly, the proposed solutions include: effectively using existing capital sources; mobilizing capital from the state budget, continuing to take advantage of ODA capital, government bond capital, promoting socialization of investment in developing transport infrastructure... At the same time, promoting management measures to improve efficiency and quality in investment in construction of transport works.

After listening to comments from relevant departments and branches, concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien requested the Department of Transport - the unit in charge of developing the project, to receive comments to complete the project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee meeting this month. In particular, pay attention to the project name; Update the latest issues on the current status of works in the area; Review the goals in a more realistic and specific direction; add important traffic routes in each region.
