Manchester United continued to prove their 'mettle' in the Europa League arena with a spectacular comeback to win 3-2 against Bodo Glimt. Rasmus Højlund's goals and the team's sharp coordination brought them a second consecutive victory, marking the first under coach Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United exploded from the first seconds. After just 50 seconds, Rasmus Højlund pressed high, stole the ball from goalkeeper Bodo Glimt and passed it to Garnacho. The young striker easily tapped the ball into the empty net, giving MU a 1-0 lead.
However, the away team Bodo Glimt quickly responded. In the 19th minute, they took advantage of a quick ball steal in the middle of the field to organize a counterattack. After three sharp passes, Evjen fired a decisive shot, defeating goalkeeper Onana, equalizing the score 1-1.
Not stopping there, Bodo Glimt continued to surprise. In the 23rd minute, Berg made a precise long pass to Zinckernagel who ran down the right wing. He passed Malacia and scored diagonally, helping the away team take a 2-1 lead.
Despite being pushed into a difficult position, MU did not give up. Right before the end of the first half, Mazraoui made an accurate cross for Højlund to appear at the right time, neatly cushioning the ball, equalizing 2-2.
In the second half, Manchester United continued to maintain the pressure. By the 50th minute, they had scored their third goal. Ugarte dribbled the ball strongly on the left wing, before passing to Højlund for an accurate finish, helping MU take a 3-2 lead.
Despite the advantage of taking the lead, MU continued to increase the pressure. In the 76th minute, Garnacho missed a clear chance when he shot the ball into the air in an open position. The subsequent attacks did not bring any more goals, but the home team successfully defended the score.
The 3-2 aggregate result gave Manchester United their second consecutive win in the Europa League this season. With 9 points, they temporarily rose to 12th place in the overall rankings. This was also the first victory for coach Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, marking a promising start for him and his team.
