(Baonghean) - On the afternoon of April 10th, while Truong Son Bridge and Road Construction Company was drilling sand piles, the drill bit struck a bomb (or artillery shell), causing it to explode and create a crater 3 meters deep, 9 meters long, and 8 meters wide. The pressure from the bomb caused cracks in a section of National Highway 1A.

The construction area is cordoned off and safety measures are in place.

On April 11th, Construction Company 384 (Army Corps 12) deployed personnel and equipment to re-inspect the entire construction site at Cam Bridge (Km 442+385, National Highway 1A), where the explosion occurred.

It is known that previously, bomb disposal forces discovered 166 bombs, artillery shells, mortars, and other explosive devices buried deep in the ground in this area.
