Tourist numbers in Nghe An have increased sharply.

(Baonghean)In the first three months of 2013, the number of tourists visiting Nghe An increased sharply compared to the same period in 2012 due to the numerous major festivals held during those months, attracting large numbers of visitors from all over the country. The number of tourists handled and served by travel agencies remained at a fairly high level.



It is estimated that in March 2012, tourist accommodation establishments in Nghe An province welcomed and served 150,000 visitors, including an estimated 4,000 international tourists. Tourism revenue is estimated at 91,400 million VND.

In the first three months of 2013, the number of tourists staying in Nghe An province was estimated at 419,800, equivalent to 118% compared to the same period in 2012. Of these, international tourists accounted for an estimated 10,400, equivalent to 96% compared to the same period in 2012. Tourism revenue was estimated at 235,234 million VND, equivalent to 111% compared to the same period in 2012, with international revenue estimated at 1,760 thousand USD, equivalent to 96% compared to 2012.
