(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, more than 200,000 customers have been issued insurance contracts in the free health insurance program with total benefits of up to 40 million VND of the VinMart/VinMart+ chain.

According to actual records, hundreds of customers have received support from this insurance package for hospital fees when they unfortunately have to be hospitalized. During the complicated epidemic period causing many difficulties, the program has partly shared the worries with many people.

Positive customer feedback

VinMart/VinMart+ is the largest retail system in the country in terms of the number of points of sale with nearly 2,500 supermarkets and stores in 59/63 provinces/cities. Each year, this system serves more than 300 million customers. Sharing the concerns of people during the epidemic season, from July 26 to August 25, VinMart/VinMart+ offers health insurance with total benefits of up to 40 million VND for customers who shop directly with bills from 300,000 VND, applied nationwide.

VinMart/VinMart+ representative said that to date, more than 200,000 insurance contracts have been issued, corresponding to more than 200,000 protected customers. Many of them have received insurance benefits when they have health problems. The program has been well received and responded positively by consumers.

As one of the customers who received benefits from the Healthy During the Epidemic Insurance package, Mr. Nguyen Dai Duong (Xuan Dinh, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi) said that when he received the gift, he recognized this gift as a very positive customer care activity of the VinMart/VinMart+ chain, but he probably would never need to use it. Unfortunately, 5 days later, Mr. Duong had appendicitis and had to undergo emergency surgery and stay in the hospital for many days. When he was discharged from the hospital, he received the "Health Insurance During the Epidemic" package to support him with part of his medical expenses. Mr. Duong hopes that the program will be given to more customers. Illness and disease are things that no one can predict. During the current escalating epidemic, VinMart's program will certainly be practical and useful to many people.

Like Mr. Duong, Ms. Ha Le Quyen (Tan Ha Ward, Tuyen Quang City, Tuyen Quang Province), a regular customer of the VinMart/VinMart+ chain, also received support from this insurance package. After receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, Ms. Quyen was diagnosed with anaphylactic shock and had to be hospitalized for more than a week for treatment. Thanks to participating in the Healthy During the Epidemic Insurance given by VinMart, she was able to reduce part of her medical expenses.

“I really didn’t think that going to the supermarket to buy essential goods would be supported when I was sick. I think this is a very meaningful and necessary gift, especially in the current difficult period. I hope that VinMart will continue to promote the program in the future,” Ms. Quyen shared.

It is known that the "Healthy During the Epidemic" insurance package is exclusively designed for VinCommerce (the owner of the VinMart/VinMart+ system) and provided by the Military Insurance Corporation (MIC).

VinCommerce representative said that in addition to ensuring the supply chain and implementing many solutions to help people shop for essential goods in the most complete and convenient way, this unit plans to expand the scale of VinMart+ to 3,001 stores in 2021. Increase the proportion of fresh goods in existing stores and newly opened stores to promptly serve quality goods at stable prices to people, especially during the epidemic season.
