Opening of Vietnamese language training course for Lao students

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 4098/QD-UBND dated December 11, 2023 and assigned the SchoolNghe An College of Education150 Vietnamese language training quotas (of which 120 quotas are for training at school and 30 quotas are for training at Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities No. 2).

The Vietnamese language course will equip international students with basic knowledge through 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing to serve professional work and specialized study at university level according to the Vietnamese language proficiency framework for foreigners issued in Circular 17/2015/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The program has 4 levels, after each part there will be a test, evaluation of results and when international students have enough test results for all 4 levels, they will take the test and receive a certificate of completion of the course.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Tran Anh Tu - Principal of the school welcomed the new international students to study at the school from this school year. At the same time, he said that in recent years, Nghe An province has paid great attention to supporting high-quality human resources for Lao provinces. In many fields, Nghe An Pedagogical College is honored to be chosen as the unit to strengthen cooperation activities in education and training.

Over 20 years of implementation, the school has trained Vietnamese for more than 1,600 international students and has been highly recognized and appreciated for its quality.

Successful implementation of coursesVietnamese trainingat the school is the result of one of the comprehensive cooperation contents demonstrating the special, loyal and increasingly practical and effective relationship between the people of Vietnam and Laos in general, between the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the Government Committees of 7 provinces: Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, Hua Phan, Vientiane, Xavannakhet, Kham Muon and Xay Xom Bun in particular.

To make the training course effective, the school will continue to actively innovate teaching methods to continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning Vietnamese for international students. Strive to achieve the target of 100% of international students meeting the Vietnamese language proficiency requirements to study at universities.

During the training process, the school has selected excellent, dedicated and experienced lecturers in teaching Vietnamese to foreigners. At the same time, it has created the best conditions for classroom facilities, libraries and dormitories to help international students complete their courses well. In particular, it has focused on investing in organizing collective activities to foster solidarity and friendship between students and international students from Vietnam and Laos.

During the time the students study abroad, the school will also pay attention to organizing cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities for Lao students and Vietnamese students, in order to enhance understanding and build solidarity and friendship between students of the two countries.

At the same time, political ideology education is provided so that the young generation of the two countries in schools can better understand the meaning and importance of preserving, consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the current period./.
