Opening Ceremony of the Asian International Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament

On the morning of April 25th, the 2013 Asian International Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament was inaugurated at the Tuan Chau International Entertainment Area, Ha Long City (Quang Ninh).

This is one of the sporting events celebrating the Ha Long Carnival 2013 - a brand of Quang Ninh tourism for many years, and also a tournament included in the Asian Beach Volleyball Federation's competition tour.

This year's Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament in Tuan Chau-Ha Long features 12 women's teams from 7 Asian countries and territories, including countries with highly developed beach volleyball programs such as China, Japan, Australia, Thailand... and teams from Vietnam.

Following the opening ceremony, the first match took place between Vietnam 2 and Thailand 1. The result was a 2-0 victory for Thailand 1 over Vietnam 2.

The competition will take place over four days, from April 25th to 28th.
