Opening Ceremony of the Quynh Luu Television Cup Children's Football Tournament

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 6th, Quynh Luu Television Station, in coordination with the District Sports Center, held the opening ceremony of the final round of the 20th Quynh Luu Television Cup Children's Football Tournament 2015.

This year's tournament features 33 teams from 33 communes and towns in Quynh Luu district, with a total of 396 players. After more than 30 qualifying matches in 4 clusters using a round-robin format, the organizing committee has now selected the 12 best teams to participate in the final round. These 12 teams will be divided into 4 groups for a round-robin competition, with the top 4 teams competing for first, second, and third place. At the end of the season, the organizing committee will award 7 million VND to the champion, 5 million VND to the runner-up, 3 million VND each to the two third-place teams, and 1.5 million VND for the fair play award.

The Quỳnh Lưu Television Cup Children's Football Tournament is the district's largest annual traditional sporting event, boasting the highest number of participating players, the most enthusiastic spectators, and the biggest prize. It also provides a beneficial playground for the youth of Quỳnh Lưu district during the summer months, helping to prevent unfortunate accidents.

Following the opening ceremony, the final round matches will take place.

At the opening ceremony, the organizing committee awarded prizes to 12 outstanding football players who excelled in academics and 12 outstanding football players who were also excellent youth union members, with each prize worth 200,000 VND.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, two exciting matches took place: Ngoc Son team against Son Hai team and Quynh Thuan team against Tan Thang team.
