Opening Ceremony of the 12th Executive Committee Meeting of the VFF - 6th Term

On the afternoon of May 15th, the 12th meeting of the VFF Executive Committee - 6th term - opened in Hanoi. This meeting has attracted significant public attention because the issues discussed are of great importance, preparing for the VFF Congress for the 7th term, which will take place in June.

To begin, VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy delivered the opening speech, summarizing the conference's agenda. Following this, the list of candidates for election to the Executive Committee and other key positions within the VFF for the seventh term was also discussed at the conference.

At the Conference, the Executive Committee will hear reports on the preparations for the 7th Congress, discuss and contribute opinions, and approve the draft amendments to the Charter; approve the draft report summarizing the activities of the 6th term and the direction of work for the 7th term (2013-2017); and approve the draft report on the review of the Executive Committee's performance.

At the conference, the head of the personnel subcommittee and VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy will report on the personnel preparations for the 7th Congress. In addition, the VFF Executive Committee will discuss and approve the proposed election procedures to be presented to the 7th Congress.

In addition, the VFF Executive Committee also heard reports on the temporary suspension of membership for members who lacked sufficient documentation or whose organizations had dissolved, and will subsequently submit a proposal to expel them from membership to the 7th Congress. Notably, matters related to the personnel of the Executive Committee and the General Secretary of the VFF for the 7th term will also be discussed at the meeting.
