Opening of the 5th session of the Nghia Dan District People's Council, 18th term.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 18th, the 5th session of the Nghia Dan District People's Council, 18th term, officially opened. Attending and directing the session was Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

At the District People's Council meeting, the results of the activities of the District People's Council and District People's Committee in the first six months of the year were reviewed; the results of the work of the District Fatherland Front Committee in participating in government building were assessed; the opinions and recommendations of voters before the 5th session of the District People's Council were addressed; and discussions were held in four groups. In addition, the meeting will approve presentations and draft resolutions on the implementation of tasks for the last six months of 2013; approve the final accounts of revenue and expenditure for the 2012 budget; approve the land use plan until 2020 and the 5-year land use plan (2011-2015) of the district... Simultaneously, a vote of confidence will be held for those holding positions elected or approved by the District People's Council.

In his opening remarks at the session, Comrade Le Duc Truong, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council, urged delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility to voters and the people, actively participate in discussions, promote democracy, and focus their intellect on key issues on the session's agenda, thereby creating an important legal basis for the District People's Committee to implement.

This is the first session of the District People's Council to hold a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the People's Council. The results of the vote of confidence will serve as a basis for objectively and accurately evaluating officials. Therefore, delegates are requested to carefully study the reports on the performance of those holding positions elected by the People's Council, and then use this information to evaluate and vote on the matter. Regarding the explanations and answers to questions at the session, the comrade requested that the responsible agencies prepare thoroughly, clearly state the issues, address the questions and answers directly, and propose solutions...
